Privacy Notice
What we collect, why, how long we keep it, and what you can ask us to do about it.
This is a working draft and has not been reviewed by a lawyer or a data protection adviser. It describes accurately what the website actually does today, which is the part most privacy notices get wrong. It will be reviewed before the company trades.
Who is responsible
Aircraft Mechanic Tool Solutions is the controller for the personal data described here. Contact info@aircraftmechanictoolsolutions.bulgarsolution.info about anything on this page.
What we collect, and why
When you send a request for quote
We collect your name, company, email address, and optionally your phone number and country, together with the items on your enquiry and whatever you write in the message. We use it to prepare and send your quote and to run the resulting order. The lawful basis is the performance of a contract, or our legitimate interest in responding to a business enquiry you initiated.
We also record the IP address and browser user agent the request came from, and the page it was sent from. That is used to block automated submissions and to work out which pages generate real enquiries. The lawful basis is our legitimate interest in keeping the form usable.
When you just read the site
No cookie is set and no session is started for a visitor who only reads pages. That is a deliberate design decision, not an accident: the site starts a session only when you use the enquiry basket or submit a form, and the cookie it then sets is strictly necessary for those to work.
The web server keeps standard access logs, which include IP addresses, as every web server does.
Analytics
Google Analytics is not enabled on this site at present. If it is switched on later, this notice will be updated first and a consent mechanism will be added before any analytics cookie is set, because that is what the ePrivacy rules require.
Who else sees it
Our web host, who operates the server and its backups. Our email provider, who carries the quote correspondence. A carrier, when we ship to you, who needs a delivery address and a contact name. Nobody else. We do not sell personal data and we do not share it for advertising.
How long we keep it
Quote requests that do not become orders are kept for two years, because in this market a buyer often comes back a year later referring to an earlier quote. Records connected to an actual order are kept as long as tax and accounting law requires. Spam blocking records are kept for one day. Server access logs are kept according to the host's own retention.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, ask us to restrict how we use it, object to processing based on legitimate interest, and ask for your data in a portable form. Email the address above and we will respond within one month.
You can also complain to a data protection authority. In Bulgaria that is the Commission for Personal Data Protection.
Transfers outside the EEA
Our hosting and email are inside the EU. If that changes, or if a tool that transfers data outside the EEA is introduced, this notice will be updated to say which one and on what legal basis.
Changes
When this notice changes materially we will say so on this page rather than quietly replace it.
